Apply for a Barbara Mae Frisby Caregiver Scholarship
We at Barbara Mae Frisby acknowledge the weighty responsibility carried by you and all adults who serve as family caregivers for ill or disabled relatives. The warm, welcoming and friendly nature of our learning adventures can provide a much-needed respite from the demands inherent in your caregiver service. Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we are able to help you offset the financial burden of caregiving by awarding Caregiver Scholarships to participate in a Barbara Mae Frisby educational adventure.
You’re an eligible caregiver if you are facing financial barriers preventing you from participating in a Barbara Mae Frisby program; are over 50; and are the primary unpaid caregiver providing daily care and support for an ill or disabled family member (spouse, parent, adult child, partner or sibling).
- Your loved one may also be receiving home care, hospice, visiting nurse, LPN services, or comparable and related services.
- Your loved one may be in adult day care, memory care, a nursing home or comparable or related facility.
- You lost a loved one within the past two years who was in any of the above situations.
- You live in the United States.

Note: we cannot accept applications from anyone who has taken a Barbara Mae Frisby program within the past two years and/or is currently enrolled in any additional Barbara Mae Frisby programs.
Please submit your application at least 3 months prior to your selected program start date. If your application is approved, we’ll award you a Caregiver Scholarship toward the cost of the program.

Please read these instructions carefully before applying for a Caregiver Scholarship.
Please complete one application per person. In order to be reviewed by the Financial Assistance Committee, all parts of the application must be complete, including the program number and date for which you are applying. Please answer the questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. Your answers will be used to determine eligibility, and incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
We cannot review an application for a program with a start date of less than six weeks or an enrollment that has already been paid in full. The review of an application takes 4-6 weeks once it has been received by the committee; applications are reviewed in the order that they are received and cannot be expedited. Therefore, please ensure that you are submitting this application early enough to allow time to enroll and make your travel arrangements after you receive your award letter.

Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we are able to help you offset the financial burden and stress often associated with your role as a caregiver by awarding you with the Barbara Mae Frisby Caregiver Scholarships to help with your educational goals in the healthcare field or to provide you with the respite care you deserve.
Eligibility
- If you are a student interested in pursuing a career in the Healthcare field i.e. CNA, GNA, MedTech, LPN, RN etc.
- The primary unpaid caregiver providing daily care and support for an ill or disabled family member (spouse, parent, adult child, partner or sibling).
- Your loved one may also be receiving home care, hospice, visiting nurse, LPN services, or comparable and related services.
- Your loved one may be in adult day care, memory care, a nursing home or comparable or related facility.
- You lost a loved one within the past two years who was in any of the above situations.
- You live in the United States.
